1860S Italian Naval Officers Sword Engraved Blade NrThis italian naval officer sword is in good condition. The overall lenght is 39 1/2 fully engraved blade. The blood groove is 26 1/2 long with the top part os the blade engraved with leaves. The ricasso on both sides may have had makers name. The right side starts with an 8 leaf flower, lance. Drum, pole/flag tree branches, anchor with two branches, swirling floral pattern, 2-drums, cannon, 2-flags, 1 banner with two spears and a floral pattern.The left side has like a 1/2 os a flower, a name? Th-y- kia, drum, banner, sword, floral pattern, crossed cannons 4 flags/banners on poles and hand held torch in a floral pattern. The guard appears to br german silver, grip appears to be black horn. The sword was a private purchase and the handle is a little loose. No reserve. Buyer pays shipping. |
